Lemko and Harris Corporation Team to Offer the Most Advanced 3G/4G Ruggedized Communications Solution for Military and Civilian Markets

ITASCA, Ill.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Lemko Corporation has entered into a reseller agreement with Harris Corporation (NYS: HRS) that includes Lemko's advanced ODC™ Distributed Mobile Wireless Network solutions and Harris' KnightHawk™ and KnightLite™ mobile tactical communication platforms for military applications.

The agreement allows Harris to combine its tactical cellular edge platform with Lemko's virtualized mobile broadband core software. The combined solution will provide warfighters, first responders and public safety officials with access to Lemko's patented SwarmNet™ capabilities in the rugged, field-proven Harris KnightHawk and KnightLite platforms.

SwarmNet™ provides the ability to form full-featured ad hoc broadband wireless networks while on the move and is a key capability needed in highly fluid tactical environments or first responder situations. Lemko's DiMoWiNe™ solutions enable each Harris KnightHawk or KnightLite to operate autonomously as a complete‚ self-contained WCDMA/HSPA cellular network or in a scalable network with hundreds of nodes for increased range.

Harris' KnightHawk and KnightLite are ruggedized, highly mobile tactical cellular edge network solutions that provide a private commercial cellular network in remote locations. They provide extremely fast connectivity to enable the use of smart apps at the tactical edge. Both systems are built upon industry leading Universal Mobile Telecommunications System (UMTS) technology. In addition to voice, high-speed data, video, and SMS messaging, the Harris KnightHawk and KnightLite systems support the most advanced High-Speed Packet Access (HSPA), which allows for dynamic allocation of data resources to mobile devices, efficiently utilizing bandwidth to allow more devices to access the network simultaneously. It is compatible with commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) smartphones and tablets.

Lemko's commercially proven advanced Distributed Mobile Wireless Network (DiMoWiNe™) solutions are built upon patented technologies that are specifically designed to eliminate the need for centralized network elements that exist in traditional cellular network architectures.
