IDT Energy Supports Hurricane Sandy Recovery Effort
NEWARK, N.J.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- IDT Energy, a leading independent provider of electricity and natural gas serving over 500,000 residential and small business customers in New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Maryland, today announced a $50,000 donation to the American Red Cross' hurricane recovery effort. The Company made a $25,000 donation today to the American Red Cross and will contribute an additional $25,000 on behalf of its customers over the next 10 days.
"Many people in the Mid-Atlantic region including many of our customers have suffered tremendously as a result of the storm. To assist them, and in support of the critically important work being done by local police, fire, EMT and rescue workers, we are pleased to support the American Red Cross's hurricane recovery effort," said Geoff Rochwarger, IDT Energy's CEO.

The IDT Energy donation, which was presented by Mr. Rochwarger to the New York Red Cross during its daily briefing this afternoon, will help provide food, shelter, clothing and other needed assistance to families displaced by the storm.
