Get Ready to Resume Health-Care Earnings Season

Earnings season is back on track today as residents across the Northeast recover from Hurricane Sandy's devastating effects. Some major players in the health-care space -- including pharma companies Pfizer (NYS: PFE) and Vertex (NAS: VRTX) -- were due to report their quarterly earnings yesterday but decided to give investors a rain check. Biotech MannKind (NAS: MNKD) , which is completing clinical trials for its diabetes drug Afrezza, and Cell Therapeutics (NAS: CTIC) , which is developing a number of oncology drugs, followed suit and will now post their results on Thursday.

Despite the storm and market closures, a number of health-care companies decided to post their earnings as originally scheduled. To keep up with those that have already reported and those that have postponed, here's an updated schedule:

Monday, Oct. 29:

Tuesday, Oct. 30:
