HomeStreet Bank Supports Two Lynnwood Nonprofits
SEATTLE--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- HomeStreet Bank is supporting two nonprofit agencies in celebration of the bank's newest branch opening in Lynnwood, Wash. YWCA Pathways for Women and Clothes For Kids will each receive $5,000 from HomeStreet Bank officials on November 1st at 4:30 p.m. at 19405 44th Avenue West in Lynnwood.
"HomeStreet is committed to supporting the needs of our local communities," said Allison Gilham, manager of the Lynnwood bank branch. "These two organizations make a tremendous difference for Snohomish County children and their families."
The YWCA of Seattle, King and Snohomish Counties has operated the Pathways for Women family shelter in Lynnwood for nearly 18 years and has operated transitional housing properties in Snohomish County for nearly 30 years. YWCA's Lynnwood programs include an emergency shelter for women and children and transitional housing for homeless families who want to rebuild their lives.
"This generous gift from HomeStreet Bank will make it possible for the YWCA to continue providing essential shelter and services to women and families in our community who might otherwise be homeless," said Mary Anne Dillion, Senior Regional Director, YWCA.
Since 1984, Clothes For Kids has helped to enhance the learning environment by meeting the clothing needs of low-income children in grades K-12 in Snohomish County. The organization provides free fall and spring clothing for families in a retail store environment. During the last school year they provided 4,044 wardrobes to children in the Snohomish region.
