Make Halloween on the go spooky with free updates in six mobile games

Updated

It's almost time for trick-or-treating in the real world, but if you're already in the Halloween spirit, you can now celebrate across a variety of mobile apps via free updates. DeNA / ngmoco and NimbleBit are just two of the developers that have released free Halloween updates in games on iOS and Android, and we're here with a roundup of previews to get you into the ghostly groove.

Blood Brothers

ngmoco's tale of revenge follows a vampire and its minions as they battle against a slew of monsters, and in the game's "Grave of Kings" event, players can interact with special themed characters that wear Jack-O-Lantern masks. This overall event is a Raid Boss event, with these enemies only be available until November 1.

Fantasica

One of ngmoco's popular mobile card games is celebrating Halloween with a series of "nightmares" that are bent on total destruction through the theft of people's dreams. Players can band together with other heroes to defeat these Nightmares, while winning rare, themed loot and Halloween cards for their collections.

Ninja Royale

Ninja Royale's clan based gameplay sees players tapping on their screen to explore themed environments while battling both stationary and moving targets via reflex based mini-games. In the game's Halloween event, a Jack-O-Lantern themed clan has been added to the game known as the CARVERS. A pack of vampires has also taken up temporary residence in the game, and they're ready to make you their own Halloween treat.

Pocket Planes

NimbleBit's flying game has been updated with patrons in Halloween costumes and themed Halloween cargo that must be transported all around the world. Players can now pick up bundles of pumpkins, candy, costumes and of course those themed Bitizens and can then deliver them to their proper destinations just in time for Halloween.

Rage of Bahamut

ngmoco's most popular virtual card game game, Rage of Bahamut is set to offer a limited edition Manor of Illusions event, beginning on Halloween itself, October 31. At that time, players will be able to team up to take on a mysterious set of themed enemies to earn exclusive or otherwise special cards and items for their games.

Tiny Tower

Tiny Tower's Halloween event is fairly basic, allowing players to dress up their Bitizens in a variety of Halloween costumes, ranging from ghosts and witches to pumpkins and devils. Floors can also take on a themed appearance in players' towers, with this event being available from now until Halloween.

There are countless other iOS and Android games that are also offering Halloween content, so make sure to check out the many updates you might have waiting for you to have the spookiest (and funnest) Halloween yet!
