Exelon Reschedules Third Quarter 2012 Results in Anticipation of Hurricane Sandy

Earnings call will occur on Thursday, Nov. 1 at 10 a.m. Eastern Time

CHICAGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- To focus on Hurricane Sandy and its potential impacts on the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic states, Exelon Corporation has rescheduled its third quarter earnings call for Thursday, Nov. 1 at 10 a.m. Eastern Time. The call previously had been scheduled for Wednesday, Oct. 31.


Exelon operates in regions that are likely to be affected by Hurricane Sandy. Exelon's electric and gas utilities BGE and PECO serve approximately 2.8 million customers in central Maryland and southeastern Pennsylvania, respectively. In addition, Exelon Generation operates power generating assets throughout the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic.

"It is critical that we be focused on the safe and reliable operation of our generating assets and transmission and delivery systems," said Exelon President and CEO Christopher M. Crane. "As the storm approaches the East Coast and moves through the area, we will be taking extra precautions and working to monitor and respond to the storm's impacts as quickly as possible, as well as to protect the safety of our customers, communities and employees."

In addition to the need to focus on safe and reliable operations at this critical time, Exelon rescheduled its earnings call to ensure that interested shareholders, financial analysts and employees who may be affected by the storm are able to participate in it.
