FarmVille History of Halloween Goals: Everything you need to know
If you didn't already have enough Halloween-themed work on your plate in FarmVille, Zynga has released a new nine-part goal series called "History of Halloween" that should give you plenty to work on for at least a few days. We're here with a guide to completing these History of Halloween goals, thanks to Zynga. Let's get started!
Warding Off Ghosts
Get 6 Twigs
Harvest 50 Dandelions
Harvest Monster Lab Twice
For this Twigs task and every other task that asks you to collect a certain number of a particular item, you'll need to ask your friends to send them to you via a combination of general news posts on your wall and individual requests send to individual friends. As for the Dandelions, they take eight hours to grow, and while that would normally be a cause for concern, you'll need to wait at least 24 hours to tend your Monster Lab twice (since it can only be harvested once per day), so you can easily grow the Dandelions and have them harvested within that time period. Completing this goal gives you 125 XP, a Bonfire and 2,500 coins.
Bobbing for Apples
Get 7 Large Pails
Harvest 75 Tomatoes
Harvest Witch's Cauldron
The Tomatoes take eight hours to harvest, so feel free to plant them after harvesting the Dandelions above. By the time you finish the first goal, these Tomatoes might be ready and waiting for you to harvest instantly upon starting this goal. As for the Witch's Cauldron, remember that this building project has multiple building levels to complete. Thankfully, it doesn't look like you'll need to harvest a fully-built Witch's Cauldron, so don't worry there. You'll receive 150 XP, a Bobby Apple Bonsai tree and 3,000 coins for finishing this goal.
Candy Corn
Get 8 Candy Corn Molds
Harvest 100 Carrots
Harvest Bobbing Apple Bonsai Tree Twice
This goal might sound complicated, or at least time consuming, but the only time you'll really need to spend in this goal is waiting the 12 hours for your Carrots to grow. In that time, you should be able to earn the eight Candy Corn Molds from friends, and can simply harvest the Bobbing Apple Bonsai twice by throwing it into two ready Orchards and harvesting them afterwards. You'll receive 175 XP, an Unwither potion and 3,500 coins for completing this goal.
Soul Cakes
Get 9 Cookie Sheets
Harvest 125 Parsnips
Craft Pig Chow Twice
The Pig Chow can be crafted inside your Craftshop using three Parsnip, three Sorghum and three Wheat bushels each. The recipe takes six hours to craft, but you can have both of these going at once if you have the necessary bushels to do so. While you're waiting for those to c
raft, you can restock your Parsnip bushel supply by growing those eight hour crops. You'll receive 200 XP, an Edgar Allen Gnome, and 4,000 coins when you finish this goal.
Pumpkin Carving
Get 9 Pumpkin Carving Kits
Harvest 150 Pumpkins
Craft Pumpkin Bread 3 Times
Pumpkins take eight hours to grow, and remember, you'll need to ask your friends for those Pumpkin Carving Kits while you'e waiting for those crops to grow. Or, you could plant them early on a secondary farm and then wait for this goal to arrive before harvesting them. If you go that route, just make sure you don't plant them too early or you'll need to use that Unwither Potion you received earlier to revive them. Finishing this goal gives you 225 XP, a Pumpkin Puppy and 4,500 coins.
Owls and Witches
Get 9 Perches
Harvest 150 Peppermint
Harvest Pumpkin Puppy Twice
The second you receive the Pumpkin Puppy above, you'll want to take him out of your gift box and place him in an animal storage building. If the building is already ready to harvest, placing the puppy inside will lower its timer back to 96% completion, but that short waiting time is definitely better than waiting days for it to become ready on its own. Remember, if you have only one compatible storage building on each farm, you should be able to transfer the puppy between farms (where applicable) and complete that trick all over again. Either way, while you're messing with the Pumpkin Puppy, make sure to have your Peppermint growing in the background, as it takes a full day to grow. When you finish this goal, you'll receive 250 XP, a Witch Owl and 5,000 coins.
Books and Spells
Get 10 Books of Spells
Harvest 150 Soybeans
Craft Farmhands Twice
The Soybean is another long-term crop that takes a full day to grow. Normally, that wouldn't be a big deal, but it definitely is when you're under a time limit. There's no shame in using any stored insta-grows to finish these off instantly, so make sure to look inside your Gift Box to see if you happen to have some available. Meanwhile, the Farmhands can be crafted inside your Craftshop using four Cotton, one Cherry and three Soybean bushels each. This recipe also takes six hours to prepare, but you can have them both going at once if your stations are free. When you finish this goal, you'll earn 275 XP, a Book of XP that will instantly boost you up to the next experience points level and 5,500 coins.
Ghostly Lights
Get 11 Candle Flames
Harvest 150 Pineapples
Master Pumpkin Puppy to 1-Star
The Pineapples take two day to grow, so this is definitely a case where you should plant the crop ahead of time and have it waiting for you when you get to this goal. Remember, if you're a veteran player that's been able to purchase Sunflower Meadows, you can use that farm land as a sort of storage, allowing these Pineapples to grow only to come back for them later. Regardless of how you've been able to complete this goal, you'll receive a Hallow Willow Tree, 6,000 coins, and 300 XP when it's done.
Ghostly Horses and Hay
Get 12 Ghostly Hay
Harvest 200 Licorice
Harvest Hallow Willow Tree Twice
As was the case with the Bonsai tree before, you'll want to place this Hallow Willow Tree into Orchards as quickly as you can to get those out of the way. While you're at it, make sure those Orchards are full of other un-mastered trees so you can earn mastery stars for them in the process. While you're waiting for your friends to send you Ghostly Hay, you'll also need to plant the Licorice, which takes a full day to grow. If you're having trouble finding this crop, it's listed as "Licorice Plant" in the store, so feel free to search for it to make things easier. For finishing this final goal in the History of Halloween series, you'll receive 325 XP, a Purple Ghost Stallion and 6,500 coins.
Remember, these goals are on a time limit, as you'll only have around two weeks to finish them off. Make sure to plan ahead and make the most out of your daily friend requests to finish these goals on time. Good luck!
