Avery Dennison Beats Analyst Estimates on EPS

EPS came in at $0.53. The nine earnings estimates compiled by S&P Capital IQ forecast $0.45 per share. GAAP EPS of $0.57 for Q3 were 21% higher than the prior-year quarter's $0.47 per share.

For the quarter, gross margin was 26.3%, 70 basis points better than the prior-year quarter. Operating margin was 6.6%, 20 basis points better than the prior-year quarter. Net margin was 3.9%, 100 basis points better than the prior-year quarter.
Next quarter's average estimate for revenue is $1.45 billion. On the bottom line, the average EPS estimate is $0.48.
Next year's average estimate for revenue is $5.97 billion. The average EPS estimate is $1.96.
