EPS came in at $0.44. The 17 earnings estimates compiled by S&P Capital IQ forecast $0.49 per share. GAAP EPS of $0.01 for Q3 were 98% lower than the prior-year quarter's $0.48 per share.

Margin details
For the quarter, gross margin was 22.0%, 330 basis points worse than the prior-year quarter. Operating margin was 4.6%, 390 basis points worse than the prior-year quarter. Net margin was 0.1%, 470 basis points worse than the prior-year quarter.

Looking ahead
Next quarter's average estimate for revenue is $7.80 billion. On the bottom line, the average EPS estimate is $0.04.

Next year's average estimate for revenue is $37.60 billion. The average EPS estimate is $3.45.
