EPS came in at $1.24. The 24 earnings estimates compiled by S&P Capital IQ predicted $1.23 per share. GAAP EPS of $1.24 for Q3 were 22% lower than the prior-year quarter's $1.59 per share.

For the quarter, gross margin was 35.7%, 430 basis points worse than the prior-year quarter. Operating margin was 27.1%, 540 basis points worse than the prior-year quarter. Net margin was 14.9%, 430 basis points worse than the prior-year quarter.
Next quarter's average estimate for revenue is $2.78 billion. On the bottom line, the average EPS estimate is $1.35.
Next year's average estimate for revenue is $11.16 billion. The average EPS estimate is $5.41.
The stock has a four-star rating (out of five) at Motley Fool CAPS, with 1,147 members out of 1,183 rating the stock outperform, and 36 members rating it underperform.
