'Fairy Tale' Home Is Just Plain Magical (House of the Day)

"It's like a fairytale!" tweets @sothebysrealty. We find it hard to disagree, and so did fans of our Facebook page, who voted for this enchanting Los Angeles mansion as the winner of this week's #housepornthurs! A tip of the hat to @whererealestate, whose submission was the runner-up.

Nestled into a gated community, the $4.395 million "Storybook Country English" presides over 1.5 acres of rich, verdant landscaping. With two turrets peeking at visitors through the property's tree canopy, the home flaunts a manicured lawn, fountains and a stone fence that is gift-wrapped in flowers and bushes. Behind its stately exterior (which does, indeed, look like a fairy tale home), the entry features a spiral staircase. The interior boasts a breakfast room, gourmet kitchen, butler's pantry, dining room that seats 10, theater and expansive office.
