Embraer Misses Where it Counts

EPS came in at $0.36. The 12 earnings estimates compiled by S&P Capital IQ forecast $0.53 per share. GAAP EPS of $0.36 for Q3 were much higher than the prior-year quarter's $0.00 per share.

For the quarter, gross margin was 25.3%, 410 basis points better than the prior-year quarter. Operating margin was 7.2%, 220 basis points worse than the prior-year quarter. Net margin was 4.6%, 460 basis points better than the prior-year quarter.
Next quarter's average estimate for revenue is $1.81 billion. On the bottom line, the average EPS estimate is $0.84.
Next year's average estimate for revenue is $6.01 billion. The average EPS estimate is $2.26.
