CityVille Halloween Saga 2012 Act 2: Everything you need to know

If you've been following along CityVille's Halloween Saga for this year, you'll be happy to know that Act 2 has now launched in your towns, bringing three new quests to complete for a limited time. We're here with a look at completing these new quests, so let's get started!

Ghostly Guests!

  • Collect from Haunted Hotels 15 Times

  • Build 7 Ghost Decorations

  • Increase Ghost Population by 7,000


It looks like this population requirement may not actually require you to place new homes, but will pull from the citizens you already have living in your town. In this case, if you already have more than 7,000 ghost citizens in your town, you may be golden here. If not, you can always try the old trick of storing homes and then pulling them back out again to "trick" the game into thinking you've actually added new citizens when you haven't. As for the Ghost Decorations, you can purchase these items by heading into the store and click on the "Halloween" selection from the game's drop down menu. For completing this first goal, you'll receive a Faerie Fragrances item for your town.

Deadly Education

  • Build a Level 2 Ghoul School

  • Collect from Faerie Fragrances of Backwoods Blacksmiths 50 times

  • Upgrade Blood Bank to Level 2


The Blood Bank is a business you might have had since last year, so make sure you check your storage buildings to see if you still have this business out and about in your city but might not have known it. You can also use the City Search feature which has now rolled out to all players in order to find the building even easier. As for the actual upgrade process, you'll simply need to earn points by continuing the cycle of supplying and collecting from the Blood Bank. A level one Blood Bank requires 110 Goods to supply, and you'll need 50 points to upgrade it to Level 2. You can either earn these 50 points by simply playing the game, or you can ask your friends for points. Each friend gives you two points at a time.


As for the Ghoul School, this building requires seven Calghoulators, seven Wizard Cowls, seven Books of the Dead, seven Mystery Meat and seven Class Skeletons to complete. You can earn these items through a combination of general news posts on your wall and individual requests sent to friends.

Tomb Raider

  • Expand to the Mysterious Mausoleum

  • Ask friends for 20 Candelabras

  • Collect 30 Dusty Bouquets


The Mysterious Mausoleum will likely be found one or two squares out from your current land limits (perhaps even three in some cases), so you'll need to collect Zoning Permits and raise your population in order to reach it. Meanwhile, the Candelabras are earned by posting a general news item to your wall, asking all of your friends to help. Finally, the Dusty Bouquets are earned at random when tending Halloween themed homes. If you feel like building more homes to speed this process along, you can click on the "Show me" button within this goal's window to see a list of available homes that would spawn these Dusty Bouquets. Items like the Spider Heights or Shady Shack cost City Cash to purchase, but you can also tend cheap coin items like Zombie Safe Houses for these flowers as well. When you complete this final goal in Act 2 of the Halloween saga, you'll receive 2,000 Goods and 6 Bonus Crew.

On top of this, if you complete all three goals in this entire Act 2 series, you'll receive a Goblin Fortress for your town. Act 3 is still in the process of being rolled out, but we'll bring you another complete guide to finishing it off as soon as we can.
