Biodroid - Leading Portuguese Game Developer Selects Virtual Piggy for Secure Payments

Virtual Piggy Expands Into the Portuguese Games Market

HERMOSA BEACH, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Virtual Piggy, Inc. (OTC:VPIG) today announced that it has signed an agreement to provide its child safe transaction solution to Biodroid, one of Portugal's leading game developers.

Biodroid Entertainment based in Lisbon, Portugal, develops innovative video games on console and mobile devices with a global reach. Their Billabong Surf Trip game for the iPhone, iPod touch and iPad was nominated for IMGA's Best Sports Game.

"Biodroid Entertainment have for some time been investigating how best to safely monetize our global user base. We required a solution which would support multiple gaming platforms, languages and payment gateways. After an extensive search, Virtual Piggy was the only solution we could see in the market that addressed all our requirements," said Ricardo Flores Santos of Biodroid. "The simple action of integrating the Virtual Piggy solution negated many of the challenges of transacting with young consumers, such as COPPA compliance. Companies have steered clear of this age group simply because they have not integrated a solution such as Virtual Piggy."

"The international market is a key growth area for Virtual Piggy, as the demand for Virtual Piggy is global," said Dr. Jo Webber, Founder and CEO of Virtual Piggy. "We are excited to partner with Biodroid as our first game developer in Portugal to join our community."
