WAKE FOREST, N.C.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- PowerSecure International, Inc. (NAS: POWR) today announced its distributed generation team and PowerBlock® power systems supported last night's Presidential Debate at Lynn University in Boca Raton, Florida. PowerSecure installed its PowerBlock technology in 2010 at the venue for the debate, Lynn University's Wold Performing Arts Center, and was prepared to deliver emergency power to the facility if needed. PowerSecure's Monitoring team continuously watched conditions throughout the event, providing an added layer of protection to ensure the debate would proceed as planned if a power loss occurred.
PowerSecure's PowerBlock at Lynn University is one of over 1,200 Interactive Distributed Generation (IDG®) systems in PowerSecure's fleet, installed at customer facilities across the country in partnership with utilities. PowerSecure's systems are integral and critical to the operations of a wide range of facilities, including industrial and military facilities, hospitals, data centers, and retail and commercial operations. The Company's systems are electronically monitored around the clock by its Monitoring Center, delivering backup power when needed -- protecting against losses and ensuring a safe operating environment.
