Dog on It introduces readers to the sleuthing duo of Chet and Bernie, a K-9 academy dropout and his unlucky private detective owner who runs the Little Detective Agency. When a 15-year-old girl in the neighborhood goes missing, Chet and Bernie are called in to find the girl and her captor. Much to everyone's surprise, the girl soon returns home, only to disappear shortly again after. As Chet and Bernie follow clue after clue, the detective duo must try and solve the case before they end up in way over their heads. Dog on It, which was also featured as a Barnes & Noble Recommends pick in 2009,is the first of five novels in the Chet and Bernie series. Each book, narrated by the lovable canine, follows Chet and Bernie as they try to solve crimes without getting into too much mischief.
