Seasonal Hiring Booming: Retailers Hiring Holiday Help Now

As the holiday grows nearer, more retailers continue to announce hiring plans to fill seasonal jobs. And this year the U.S. could see the most robust hiring its seen in five years, according to a poll of 1,000 hiring managers by Snagajob (via CBS MoneyWatch).

Meanwhile, an annual report from the National Retail Federation projects 585,000 and 625,000 temporary retail workers will be hired this holiday season -- about on par, the group says, with the 607,000 hired last year. Including those who work in shipping and other industries, total seasonal hiring is expected to reach 700,000.
