Global Data Center Provider CyrusOne Sponsors NANOG 56 in Dallas

Company hosts attendees at annual Beer 'n Gear event and official NANOG offsite after party

CINCINNATI--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Global data center services provider, CyrusOne, a wholly owned subsidiary of Cincinnati Bell (NYS: CBB) , announced today its sponsorship of NANOG 56 in Dallas, October 21 - 24, 2012. The North American Network Operators Group (NANOG) is an education and operations organization that coordinates and disseminates technical information related to backbone/enterprises networking technologies and operational practices.

"Committing to this event and its attendees is a natural fit for CyrusOne," said Josh Snowhorn, vice president and general manager, Interconnection. "The peering we are already providing in our facilities together with the first statewide internet exchange we are launching across Texas later this year to connect our facilities in Austin, Dallas, Houston and San Antonio, is only possible due to input from the leading minds among the NANOG membership and the cutting-edge technologies member companies deliver."

CyrusOne specializes in highly reliable enterprise data center colocation, engineering facilities with the highest power redundancy (2N architecture) and power-density infrastructure required to deliver excellent availability. The company has designed facilities across the United States, Europe, and Asia that give customers the flexibility and scale to perfectly match their specific growth needs. Customers include more than 100 of the Fortune 1000 companies and 9 of the Fortune 20.

NANOG provides a forum where thought leaders from the network research, operator and vendor communities can come together to identify and solve the problems that arise in operating and growing the Internet. NANOG was formed to promote dialog between people concerning the creation, maintenance and operation of Internet Protocol networks.

The NANOG Beer 'n Gear event that CyrusOne is sponsoring in combination with other companies supporting the show, takes place at the Sheraton Dallas Hotel from 6:00 to 8:00 pm on Monday evening, October 22. It offers meeting attendees the opportunity to socialize with technology-savvy colleagues from a wide spectrum of networking organizations and explore with engineers the latest technology on display.

The NANOG after party, "Peer Plush," will be hosted at Plush Night Club and will include beverages, BBQ and Tex-Mex food, as well as great music. Known for unique events, PLUSH delivers world class and memorable experiences. Sponsored by CyrusOne, Brocade and Netflix, the after party is a short walk from the Sheraton Dallas Hotel and takes place Monday, October 22, beginning at 8:00 pm.

NANOG events are held tri-annually and attract more than 450 Internet network operations, engineers, and software and hardware vendors from around the world. CyrusOne is also supporting the NANOG event in Orlando, Florida, February 3-6.
