EA pulls the plug on Trouble Makers for iOS November 15 [UPDATE]

Updated

Apparently, Trouble Makers on iPhone and iPad really was more trouble than it's worth, as the free-to-play mobile game will have its final day of active service on November 15. This is just the latest in a long line of games Electronic Arts has shut down this year across mobile platforms, Facebook, Google+ and consoles, with games like Age of Immortals, Bejeweled Blitz Google+ and more all being unfortunate casualties this year.

As for Trouble Makers, the closure news comes from EA's official service updates page. The game has already been pulled from the iTunes App Store in both the US and Canada, and we've reached out to EA for any word on whether or not premium currency will be lost or transferable once the game's servers actually go offline. UPDATE: Currency unfortunately can't be swapped between TroubleMakers and another active game. For now, here's the company's official statement on the matter:

"In order to focus our resources on bringing new, exciting mobile content to our consumers, EA has decided to suspend support for TroubleMakers on iOS. On November 15th, the TroubleMakers servers will be shut down and the game will no longer be playable. We thank our community for their support of TroubleMakers."

Stay tuned for more, as we'll update this space if we learn more about what current players can expect from this closure.
