Books-A-Million Names Mary Jane Karwoski as Vice President of Human Resources
BIRMINGHAM, Ala.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Books-A-Million, Inc. (Nasdaq/NM: BAMM) today announced the appointment of Mary Jane Karwoski as Vice President of Human Resources. Ms. Karwoski will be responsible for overseeing employee relations, compensation, benefits, training and development and recruiting for Books-A-Million, Inc.

Ms. Karwoski is a graduate of Marymount College in Tarrytown, New York where she received a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Elementary Education. She went on to earn her Master of Business Administration from the University of Connecticut School of Business. Prior to joining Books-A-Million, she worked for Blockbuster, Inc. as a Regional Director of Operations and most notably with Borders Group as Director of Human Resources and Regional Sales Director. Additionally, she has worked for Jamba Juice as a Regional Director of Operations and Franchise Leader where she was responsible for supporting franchise partners in the Midwest.
