Redesigned T Magazine Franchise to Launch in 2013

Deborah Needleman's first issue as editor to publish on Feb. 17

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- T: The New York Times Style Magazine will revamp its magazine franchise in 2013. Under the direction of editor Deborah Needleman, the revitalized magazine will have a more expansive approach to covering the luxury lifestyle, as well as a new look and publication schedule. The changes will be unveiled in Needleman's first issue as editor on February 17, 2013.

The issues will retain their themes dedicated to Women's Fashion, Men's Fashion, Design, Travel and Holiday. However, each issue will cover a broader range of culture and style topics from among the worlds of fashion, beauty, art, design, travel and lifestyle. The redesigned magazine will have a larger format, a higher-quality paper stock and an increased number of pages in the feature well.

"T has always been a peerless style and fashion brand. I am excited to build on this by reimagining the magazine itself so that it is best suited to showcasing beautiful photography and culturally rich subject matter," said Deborah Needleman, editor of T Magazine. "By covering the breadth of style subjects in every issue, and publishing on a more regular schedule, our aim is to serve our readers better and create a deeper connection to the magazine."

T magazine will now publish 13 times a year, instead of 15, on a more regular schedule. Two of the four design issues will cease publication; but there will be design content now in every issue.

T magazine debuted in 2003. The magazine, available online at NYTimes.com/TMagazine, is distributed in the Sunday New York Times and the International Herald Tribune in Europe and the Middle East. The next issue, T: Women's Fashion, will publish on October 21.
