(NAS: PLCM) , the global leader in open standards-based unified communications (UC), announced today that Saint Petersburg State University, Russia (SPBGU) has implemented the Polycom RealPresence® Platform® (Polycom® RMX® 4000) and RealPresence® Room solutions (Polycom® HDX® Series) across the university to provide high-quality learning, improve communications among students and faculty.

To raise its profile in the international education community, administrators realized the university needed a better unified communication solution, and selected Polycom because of its comprehensive video collaboration solutions that extend from mobile devices to immersive telepresence theaters.
