Telecom division for The Leading Spanish-language HD pay-television provider in the U.S. now depends on Comcast's High-Speed Ethernet to Transfer Bandwidth-Intensive Video Quickly and Reliably

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Comcast Corporation, one of the nation's leading providers of information and communications products and services, today announced that Olympusat Holdings, Inc.'s Telecom business division, Olympusat Telecom, has selected Comcast Business Class Ethernet services to expedite the transfer of bandwidth-intensive video content and to support digital production services and back office operations.

Olympusat Telecom provides comprehensive end-to-end video solutions to media companies and video-centric enterprise customers in the United States and Latin America, including satellite uplink, master control, video transport, digital production and content delivery networks and services. The company is now using a 500 Megabits-per-second (Mbps) Ethernet connection, but has the capability to accelerate to 2 Gigabits-per-second (Gbps), and plans to leverage Comcast's network scalability in the near future.

Using Comcast's high-speed Ethernet services, Olympusat Telecom can now seamlessly upload all video content via a file transfer protocol (FTP) site to Multiple System Operator (MSO) systems faster than ever before. Additionally, Comcast's Ethernet services also expedite digital production services and back office operations.
