Harris Corporation Receives $15 Million in Orders from Latin American Nation in Next Phase of Mission-Critical Communication System

MELBOURNE, Fla. & ROCHESTER, N.Y.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Harris Corporation (NYS: HRS) , an international communications and information technology company, has received $15 million in orders from a nation in Latin America for public safety and tactical radios and accessories. This Harris equipment will be integrated into the country's new wireless digital voice and data network for national security applications.


Harris will provide the customer with Falcon very-high frequency (VHF) and high-frequency (HF) tactical radios and portable land mobile radios and accessories. The radios will operate on the country's Harris OpenSky® mission-critical radio system to provide federal officials and armed forces with interoperable voice and data communications to help protect strategic installations.
