Facebook PSA: Facebook Game Cards on sale this week at Target

Updated

As we get closer to the holiday shopping season, it's no surprise that we'd see virtual game cards once again start to hit the sale racks. This week, generic Facebook Game Cards (formerly Facebook Credits cards) are on sale at Target, as interested gamers can purchase a $25 Game Card for $20 (plus tax where applicable).

This $5 savings may not seem like a lot, but the universal quality of these cards is definitely something to keep in mind. Whether your favorite game is FarmVille or Gardens of Time (or anything in between), these cards will allow you to earn premium currency in the game of your choice, but will only be on sale for a limited time. What's more, the credit will simply be added to your account, so you should be able to use it in multiple games, instead of just throwing it all into one.

In this particular case, the cards are on sale until October 20, so you'll want to shop fast if you're interested in stocking up, especially if you have a lot of Facebook gamers to shop for this holiday season. Unfortunately, these cards aren't available for purchase online, so you will need to go into a physical Target location to take advantage of the sale, or find a friendly online gamer that will buy one for you.

Stay tuned for more news on premium currency sales, both on Facebook and in retail stores, as we head into winter!

Will you purchase any of these Facebook Game Cards since they're on sale this week? Sound off in the comments!
