SimCity Social: Earn free energy from McDonald's

McDonald's has joined the likes of Dunkin' Donuts in helping to offer free energy to SimCity Social players, as a new cross-promotion has launched beneath the game on Facebook. Players interested in earning free energy boosts need to simply click on a branded square underneath the main gameplay area, and will receive a one energy boost for watching a commercial advertising McDonald's.

If you're having trouble getting the promotion's video to load, simply close the promotional window and reopen it, continuing this cycle until it eventually works. We had quite a bit of trouble getting it to load, but once it does, you'll earn your free energy after around 30 seconds. Watch out for a survey at the end though, as you don't have to finish it to earn the energy. In fact, the survey has nothing to do with SimCity Social at all, and is simply another ad. Keep that in mind and you'll save yourself some time in the end, and can go right back into your town to spend that free energy!
