Pinnacle Bankshares Corporation Announces Dividend

ALTAVISTA, Va.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- The Board of Directors for Pinnacle Bankshares Corporation (the "Company") (OTCQB: PPBN) declared a cash dividend of $0.05 per share on May 14, 2013 payable June 7, 2013 to shareholders of record as of May 24, 2013. Pinnacle Bankshares is the one-bank holding company for First National Bank (the "Bank"), headquartered in Altavista, Virginia.

"Our Board is pleased to declare a cash dividend to be paid to our shareholders for the third consecutive quarter," stated Aubrey H. Hall, III, President & CEO of Pinnacle Bankshares and First National Bank. He further commented, "A decline in our provision for loan losses, increased non-interest income and controlled core operating expenses during the first quarter of 2013 all contributed to our ability to provide this return on investment."


Pinnacle Bankshares Corporation previously released its first quarter 2013 earnings on April 24, 2013.

Pinnacle Bankshares Corporation is a locally managed community banking organization based in Central Virginia. The one-bank holding company of First National Bank serves an area consisting primarily of all or portions of the Counties of Campbell, Pittsylvania, Bedford, Amherst and the City of Lynchburg. The Company operates two branches in the Town of Altavista, one branch in the village of Rustburg, two other branches in Campbell County, one branch in the Town of Amherst, one branch in the City of Lynchburg and one branch in the Forest area of Bedford County.
