CityVille KaBOOM Promotion: Build playgrounds to help real world kids

A new charitable cross-promotion has launched in CityVille this week celebrating KaBOOM, an organization that builds playgrounds for children at schools, in parks and elsewhere. For a limited time, CityVille mayors are being encouraged to build Playgrounds in their own virtual cities, with 100% of the proceeds going to help KaBOOM build real world playgrounds around the United States.

All players can get in on the fun of this event by simply purchasing the 50 coins Playground Scene from the market, but this is a building project that will cost real money to complete. That being the case, if you have no desire to donate, you won't want to purchase this from the store, as it will remain an unfinished building project in your city.

If you are interested in donating, this Playground Scene offers four spaces for playground parts that can be built within it. Clicking on each hammer gives you a menu of playground pieces that you can buy, like slides, swings, jungle gyms and more. In this way, you'll be able to choose the items that you like most and can customize the way your final playground ultimately looks.

You can't purchase these items with City Cash, but will instead be required to purchase them outright with your credit card (or another allowed payment option). Here's a list of the available parts and their prices (all prices are listed in USD).

Remember, you can only build four of these items (including duplicates) in a single Playground Scene, but if you really like this feature and wish to donate more money, you can purchase additional Playground Scenes for 50 coins each and fill them with another four items until you've donated what you're comfortable providing. Again, donating anything to this feature is completely voluntary, but if you're interested in helping out KaBOOM, you'll want to shop sooner, rather than later, as this promotion won't be available forever.
