P&G Professional™ Establishes Expert Advisory Council

New thought leadership panel partners with PGP to collaboratively support industry development and customer education

CINCINNATI--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- P&G Professional™, the away-from-home division of Procter & Gamble (NYS: PG) , is pleased to announce the creation of its Expert Advisory Council. The council is a panel of renowned industry thought leaders assembled to work in collaboration with P&G Professional's internal experts to identify opportunities for industry/process improvement, offering their collective insights and expertise through educational programs and content provided by the company to the professional cleaning industry.


The esteemed experts will unite with P&G Professional at various points in the year to share information on research, insights, trends, best practices and more. Current and prospective P&G Professional customers will benefit from the content discussed and discovered, as it is shared publicly via informative events, webinars, live panels and published articles.

The creation of the P&G Professional Expert Advisory Council will formalize this process and ensure that we are supporting our customers while also supporting progress industry-wide. Inaugural council members include (in alphabetical order with more detailed biographies to follow):

  • Donna Allie(President, Team Clean Inc.) - An award winning entrepreneur in the cleaning industry, recognized for her expertise in minority and small business ownership;

  • Beatrix Babcock (MS-HSA, LPN, Partner, HCI Consulting Group) - A practical nurse, offering over 40 years of expertise in the areas of healthcare and infection control;

  • Shelley Feist (Executive Director, Partnership for Food Safety Education) - Leader of an industry-government partnership supporting consumers with science-based information on home safe food handling and preparation;

  • David Frank (President, American Institute of Cleaning Sciences) - An industry authority on professional cleaning and maintenance and recognized key note speaker;

  • Roy Getz (CEO, Fry Cook and Cashier, RCO Limited - Raising Cane's Ohio) - A leading operator and expert in food service, having worked in restaurant management for over 30 years across some of the country's best known brands;

  • Jim Mann (Founder and Executive Director, Handwashing For Life Institute and The Handwashing Leadership Forum) - An award winning disinfection expert and product development chemist with a career dedicated to the reduction of food borne and person-to-person illness;

  • Jan Matthews (CEO of RP Global and former Head of Catering, Cleaning and Waste, London 2012 Olympic Games) - A leader in large scale catering and cleaning, having just ensured the delivery of 14 million meals and the removal of 9,000 tons of waste in the London 2012 Olympic Games.

Donna Allie, President, Team Clean Inc.

Allie launched Team Clean, Inc. in the mid-1980s as a solo entrepreneur and has grown the company to over 400 employees and over $18 million in sales. She has been recognized by the industry with multiple accolades including District Minority Small Business Person of the Year; 62nd National Freedom Day Community Service Award; The City of Philadelphia's Supply, Service and Equipment Award; The Main Line Martin Luther King Jr. Association's Business Leadership Award; and The Women of Distinction Award from the Philadelphia Business Journal.

Beatrix Babcock, MS-HSA, LPN, Partner, HCI Consulting Group

Babcock has over forty years of active experience in the healthcare field. She earned her license as a practical nurse in 1972 and then went on to receive a bachelor's degree in Health Care Administration. In 1995, Babcock also completed a master's degree in Health Services Administration. She has been a Partner with HCI Consulting Group since 1998, providing consulting services for healthcare and aviation custodial contracts as an infection control and safety compliance expert. In 2006, Babcock served on the ISSA committee that developed the Cleaning Industry Management Standard.

Shelley Feist, Executive Director, Partnership for Food Safety Education

Through leadership of a national stakeholder engagement process, Feist has led the development of a new national action plan for consumer food safety education in the United States based on the Healthy People 2020 goals. She has led the process of development and launch of fightback.org, a leading website for consumers and community-based educators, and more recently of holidayfoodsafety.org and teamfoodsafety.org. The Partnership for Food Safety Education is a non-profit public service organization.

David Frank, President, American Institute of Cleaning Sciences

With over three decades of experience, Frank is one of the leading industry authorities, serving facility service providers, distributors and manufacturers. He is an active member and frequent speaker for ISSA, APPA, EPA and the U.S. Green Building Council. The American Institute for Cleaning Sciences and ISSA administered the first Cleaning Industry Management Standards (CIMS) and certification program offered for all levels of the cleaning industry.

Roy Getz, CEO, Fry Cook and Cashier, RCO Limited - Raising Cane's Ohio

Getz is a restaurant industry veteran having worked in restaurant management for over 30 years. Getz worked in operations and brand development for Bob Evans Restaurants, Owens Family Restaurants, Cantina del Rio and Calico Café. In 2001, he was made Senior Vice President of Marketing and Product Development for Denny's and eventually moved on to become the CMO of Damon's Grill. Today, Getz is a partner in RCO Limited, a Raising Cane's franchise, and is also an active industry speaker on topics relevant to the food service sector.

Jim Mann, Founder and Executive Director, Handwashing For Life Institute

Mann's work to reduce the risk of food borne and person-to-person illness spans a career from deli and cafeteria experience to work as a product development chemist. He has formulated leading brands in skin care, surface disinfection, foodservice and healthcare as well as standards and measures such as ServeReady® Hands and TouchReady® Surfaces. Mann was also honored as a recipient of NSF's prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award.

Jan Matthews, CEO, RP Global and former Head of Cleaning, Catering and Waste, London 2012 Olympic Games

Matthews has spent the last three years developing the London 2012 Food Vision and leading the team that delivered catering, cleaning and waste management services for all the athletes, spectators, media, dignitaries and employees at the London 2012 Olympic Games (the largest and most complex peacetime catering cleaning and waste operation in the world). She previously served as Head of Operations for NAAFI (Navy, Army, Air Force Institute), the organization which provides British Forces with retail, catering, leisure and cleaning services, and has previously held Board positions, co-chaired the Food Advisory Group, and currently sits on the Food Legacy Board. Matthews is now the CEO of RP Global, providing strategic and operational planning guidance to upcoming global events such as Sochi 2014 and Rio 2016.
