Pepperidge Farm®®Characters Set to Debut a New Float in the 86th Annual Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade®

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Every Thanksgiving, the magical words Let's Have a Parade kick-off the nation's most cherished holiday tradition...the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade®. These words have sparked a dazzling vision for the loveable Pepperidge Farm Goldfish characters who will transform everyday items into a magnificent Parade float! On Thursday, Nov. 22, Pepperidge Farm's Goldfish characters will take spectators into their fantastic world as the "Goldfish on Parade" float debuts in the 86th edition of Macy's famed holiday spectacle.

"We are truly honored to have this glorious brand join the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade family. On this one-of a-kind float, Pepperidge Farm's illustrious Goldfish characters have decided to create their own version of the Macy's Parade," said Amy Kule, executive producer of Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. "The Goldfish friends have shown an incredible sense of imagination and have transformed the ordinary into the extraordinary. I'm confident their inaugural march down to 34th Street will delight and astonish millions of spectators on the streets of New York City and in homes across the nation."

"We are thrilled to debut our Goldfish float in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade this year as we celebrate our golden anniversary of delighting kids of all ages," said Jared Konstanty, Senior Vice President, General Manager Snacks at Pepperidge Farm. "The float is such an amazing representation of how the characters brought their vision to life with objects they found under the bed. They created something that reflects their values of optimism, goodness, confidence, playfulness and imagination. We hope everyone watching will have as much fun as Finn & Friends and look forward to being a part of the Macy's family for years to come."

The inspiring Goldfish characters have a grand idea for this Thanksgiving holiday. Finn and his friends Gilbert, Brooke and Xtreme have decided to have a parade. Inspired by Macy's great American tradition, they've gathered up some books and toys to create a whimsical Thanksgiving Day procession. Finn leads the way in a dapper top hat and shades as the parade's grand marshal. Xtreme uses pencils to "stilt walk" down the route while Brooke drives the wind-up car which tows Gilbert on his float made of buttons, caps and a whistle. The march comes to life as it seemingly jumps out of a New York City pop-up book. The Goldfish characters' vision of the Macy's Parade wouldn't be complete without a balloon, and so Finn & Friends have transformed a classic toy balloon with the help of some straws and chess pieces that double as balloon handlers.

The Pepperidge Farm Goldfish characters are also featured in television, print and online advertising and on its kids web site, www.goldfishfun.com, in games, webisodes, TV ads and more.
