GTSO Excited by Surface Sample Assay Results

SAN JOSE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Green Technology Solutions, Inc. (OTCBB:GTSO) announced that the company is thrilled by new assay data collected on surface samples taken from prospective mining sites in mineral-rich regions of Africa and Alaska.

The promising data was collected using Thermo Scientific's portable x-ray fluorescent analyzers at MINExpo 2012 in Las Vegas. Advanced devices such as the Niton XL3 Series could soon help GTSO and its partners identify concentrations of crucial elements in seconds at prospective mining sites around the world.

"The analysis performed on our samples at MINExpo was very exciting," said GTSO CEO Paul Watson. "The results were just what we'd hoped they would be. The next step for our company will be to purchase this technology and put it to use at mining claims around the world, assessing the commercial viability of a number of potential excavation projects."

XRF analyzers such as those made by Thermo Scientific enable quick, accurate exploration assay data to guide mining operations. The rapid acquisition of this data for the delineation of ore boundaries and mine mapping could soon prove critical to the mission of GTSO's mining subsidiary, GTSO Resources.

GTSO is currently pursuing opportunities in the mining of tungsten, lithium, gold and other valuable metals in mineral-rich regions including Ghana, Chile and Alaska. Alongside the company's joint venture partners, Diamond V Associates, GTSO has initially analyzed surface samples now in preparation to begin excavation at the most promising of its target sites.
