Chipotle Mexican Grill Invites Customers to Do Something Good This Halloween
$1 Million 'Boorito' Fundraiser Benefiting the Chipotle Cultivate Foundation Treats Customers in Costume to $2 Burrito
DENVER--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Chipotle Mexican Grill (NYSE: CMG) has announced the return of its long-standing tradition and popular Halloween fundraiser, Boorito. This Halloween, Wednesday, October 31, Chipotle will treat customers dressed in costume to a burrito, bowl, salad, or order of tacos for only $2 between the hours of 4 p.m. and closing. Proceeds from the fundraiser, up to $1 million, will benefit the Chipotle Cultivate Foundation.

To help support its Boorito fund-raising program, Chipotle has released a short film featuring comedian Rob Riggle, an American actor and comedian best know for his work as a correspondent on Comedy Central's The Daily Show from 2006 to 2008, and his appearances in such films as The Hangover, 21 Jump Street, The Other Guys, and Dr. Suess' The Lorax. In the film, Riggle engages in Halloween hijinks - stealing candy, TP-ing the neighbors' houses, and wrecking a police car - before arriving at Chipotle to redeem himself by purchasing a $2 burrito to benefit the Cultivate Foundation. The film's tag reminds customers to do something good this Halloween.
To participate in the fundraiser, go to any Chipotle restaurant in the US, UK, and Canada between 4 p.m. and closing on October 31 dressed in costume and purchase any Chipotle menu item for only $2. Participants in this year's fundraiser are invited to also enter the Chipotle Costume Contest for a chance to win $2,500 and other prizes.
