NACD Honors Towers Watson Lead Outside Director Linda Rabbitt
Rand Construction Corporation executive one of two named as 2012 Director of the Year
NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Global professional services company Towers Watson (NYSE, NASDAQ: TW) today announced that Linda D. Rabbitt, the company's lead director on its board of directors, has been recognized by the National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD) for exceptional performance by directors in the boardroom. Ms. Rabbitt is one of two directors who will receive the 2012 Director of the Year Award during the NACD Directorship 100 Forum, to be held in November in New York.

Ms. Rabbitt has served as a director of Towers Watson since the January 1, 2010 merger of Watson Wyatt and Towers Perrin. She previously served as a director of Watson Wyatt from 2002 to 2009, and is the founder and chief executive officer of Rand Construction Corporation, a commercial construction company founded in 1989 that specializes in building renovation and tenant build-outs.
The NACD also named Bill Ayer, Chairman, Alaska Air Group and Puget Sound Energy, as a 2012 Director of the Year, while Jack Lowe, Jr., Chairman, Zale Corporation and TD Industries, will receive the NACD's B. Kenneth West Lifetime Achievement Award (NACD's highest accolade). The award recipients will be feted during a gala dinner at the NACD Directorship 100 Forum, held November 27 in New York City.
