F5 CEO John McAdam Receives Lifetime Achievement Award from Seattle Business Magazine
SEATTLE--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Seattle Business magazine honored F5 Networks, Inc.'s (NAS: FFIV) President and CEO John McAdam with its esteemed Lifetime Achievement Award. The presentation was made last night at the magazine's annual Tech Impact Awards event, held at the Washington State Convention Center in Seattle.
"The judging panel was unanimous in its selection of John McAdam for the Lifetime Achievement Award," said Leslie Helm, editor of Seattle Business magazine. "In a remarkably short time period, John has transformed F5 into a vigorous enterprise that joins Amazon.com and Microsoft as one of our region's anchor technology companies."
At the helm of F5 Networks for more than a decade, McAdam has seen the company through two significant economic downturns. Under his guidance, F5's core market share has increased from 10 percent in 2002 to over 46 percent in 2012. McAdam's greatest triumph to date came in 2011, when the company achieved milestone revenue of just over $1 billion.

McAdam, who has previously held management and executive positions at IBM, Sequent Computer Systems, and Data General, brings depth of knowledge and experience to his role at F5.
