CastleVille Giovanni's Machine Quests: Everything you need to know

A few weeks ago, we learned that CastleVille players would soon be able to build a new contraption for Giovanni on our Kingdoms. Now, that time has arrived via a set of nine new quests called Giovanni's Machine. As usual, these quests start simply, but get more complex as we go along, but we're here with a guide on completing all nine quests to help you out (thanks to Zynga). Let's get started!

An Obvious Observation

  • Fish in a Pond

  • Tend 3 Flowers

  • Have 5 Stones


Rewards: 2,000 coins, 40 XP

Far, Far Away

  • Have Fur Hats

  • Explore the Gloom

  • Place the Enchantment Engine


Rewards: 2,500 coins, 50 XP

The Perfect Place

  • Craft 2 Heated Boots

  • Melt 3 Icy Brambles

  • Collect from 5 Royal Buildings


Heated Boots require items like Leather and Feathers while Icy Brambles must be melted with the Fireheart Spell. You'll receive 3,250 coins, 65 XP and two Spring-Loaded Devices for completing this quest.

The Moment of Truth

  • Have 3 Giant Gears

  • Complete the Enchantment Engine

  • Use Spring-Loaded Devices to Activate Enchantment Engine


The Gears come from a general news post placed on your wall. While you're waiting for those to arrive, you can work on the construction of the Enchantment Engine, which requires five Fire Essences, three Giant Gears, three Bronze Bars and 10 Wood Planks. Again, the Giant Gears are earned by simply asking your friends to send them to you, but you can also ask your friends for Wood Planks if you'd like. You'll receive 2,500 coins and 50 XP for completing this quest.

A Well-Rested Mind

  • Craft 1 Sweet Bun

  • Fish in 5 Ponds

  • Craft 1 Ink


Rewards: 2,000 coins, 40 XP

Expanding the Experiment

  • Explore the Gloom

  • Craft 1 Flaming Sword

  • Prepare 2 Fireheart Spells


Rewards: 3,250 coins, 65 XP

The Moment of Truth... Again

  • Craft 2 Spring-Loaded Devices

  • Reapir and Upgrade the Enchantment Engine

  • Activate the Enchantment Engine


Upgrading the Enchantment Engine is completed through another item collection project, as you'll need to gather eight Fire Essence, four Hammers, four Bronze Bars and three Mortars. You'll receive 3,250 coins and 65 XP for completing this quest.

A Beastie Bonanza

  • Have 5 Noise Makers

  • Use a Flaming Sword to Banish a Gloom Yeti

  • Cast 2 Charm Gloom Rat Spells


The Noise Makers are earned by posted another general news item on your wall for your friends to click on. You'll earn 2,500 coins and 50 XP for finishing this quest.

Tell Me the Truth... Is This The Moment?

  • Upgrade the Enchantment Engine

  • Craft 2 Spring-Loaded Devices

  • Activate the Enchantment Engine


The final upgrade for the Enchantment Engine requires 12 Fire Essence, eight Bronze Levers, six Bronze Bars and four Steel Bars to complete. You'll receive 3,250 coins and 65 XP for completing this final quest in the series, along with a Golden Astrolabe for your Kingdom. Good luck finishing these quests in your Kingdom!
