Bally Technologies Announces Illinois Contracts Totaling Sales and Lease of More Than 4,000 Video Gaming Terminals

More than 3,000 Video Gaming Terminals will be connected to Bally gaming systems

LAS VEGAS--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Bally Technologies, Inc. (NYS: BYI) , a leader in slots, video machines, casino-management, interactive applications, and networked and server-based systems for the global gaming industry, today announced contracts with leading gaming providers in Illinois to bring more than 4,000 Bally Video Gaming Terminals (VGTs) to the state, which are expected to be deployed over the next 24 months.

Two of the largest terminal operators in the state have signed more than 50 percent ship share with Bally. These contracts, combined with several other deals within the state, have given Bally a leading position, with more than 4,000 VGT devices signed thus far. Additionally, more than 3,000 Video Gaming Terminals will be connected to the Bally MultiConnect™ enterprise-wide centralized accounting and management system throughout the state.

Two examples of leading VGT operators in Illinois are J & J Ventures Gaming LLC and Grand River Jackpot LLC. Each is providing Bally VGTs and the Bally MultiConnect to their customers. These two operators represent more than 1,500 locations throughout the state.

"Bally Technologies is a company that originated in Illinois and it maintains an impressive office in the area," said J & J Owner Jack Jansen. "Bally is a respected full-service provider with a history demonstrating excellence."

Grand River Chief Executive Officer Gary Hoyer said, "We're excited to partner with one of the industry leaders in Video Gaming Terminals and gaming systems solutions. Bally's 80-year history speaks for itself, and through our previous working relationship, we knew they would be the perfect fit in Illinois."

The Bally VGTs in Illinois will include a variety of ALPHA 2 Pro™ V22/22 and Pro V32 titles, including iconic Bally games such as Blazing 7s™ and Quick Hit®.

"The level of market acceptance of Bally's VGT product line in Illinois is a clear indicator of the momentum we are experiencing within the VGT sector worldwide," said Bally Technologies' Vice President of Business Development John Connelly. "Bally continues to make calculated investments within the Video Lottery Terminal industry and we are confident this will result in continued incremental growth in the future."
