Market Projected to Have 639M Mobile Broadband Connections by 2016

According to a recent report by information and analytics firm IHS iSuppli, carrier capex investments in 4G wireless network infrastructure have increased 132% in 2012 alone and should comprise the bulk of carrier spending starting in 2013. This is especially evident in China, as carriers invest in network upgrades to support next-generation 4G LTE and LTE-Advanced deployments. Earlier this year, GSMA forecasted China to have 639 million mobile broadband connections within the next four years, making it the largest mobile broadband market globally by 2016.
