GROVEPORT, Ohio--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Electronic products repair specialist Pinnacle Data Systems, Inc., an Avnet company (NYSE:AVT), has been recommended for OHSAS 18001:2007 certification for its Groveport, Ohio, location.

OHSAS 18001 is an internationally recognized assessment specification for occupational health and safety management systems. Pinnacle Data Systems, Inc. started its application in January 2012 and had conducted OHSAS 18001 risk assessment and hazard identification throughout the first half of the year to prepare for the audit, which was conducted and passed in August. The OHSAS 18001 certification already adds to an impressive list of certifications for this location which include ISO 9001:2008, ISO 14001:2004, ISO 13485:2003, TL 9000 - H/V R5.0/4.5, CCC (China Compulsory Certificate) and 93/42/EEC Medical Device Directive of 6/93. The location also has compliance programs in place associated with 21CFR820 / 21CFR 803 FDA Code of Federal Regulations and ITAR (International Traffic in Arms Regulations).
