Asure Software's PeopleCube Named to SoftwareMagazine's 30th Annual Software 500

For Fourth Straight Year, Software Magazine Ranks Recent Asure Software Acquisition as One of the World's Largest Software Companies

AUSTIN, Texas--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Asure Software, a leading provider of workplace management software, today announced that PeopleCube, the company it acquired in July 2012, was included for the fourth straight year in Software Magazine's Software 500 ranking of the world's largest software and service providers. PeopleCube was ranked 470 based on revenues from 2011.

Prior to its acquisition, PeopleCube was the largest company in the workplace management market, as measured by revenue, clients, and personnel, and a top provider of real-estate and energy management solutions for small, medium, and enterprise organizations.

"PeopleCube's sustained growth was a compelling reason for the acquisition, and we expect to accelerate that growth as we incorporate Resource Scheduler, PeopleCounter, Workplace BI, and the PeopleCube energy management products into our AsureSpace™ suite of workplace management solutions," said Pat Goepel, CEO of Asure Software. "Coupled with the AsureForce™ Time and Labor Management Solutions, these products give Asure Software a comprehensive set of offerings that organizations of all sizes can leverage to operate more efficiently and effectively, thereby reducing their labor, real estate, and energy costs."

Software 500 Is Quick Reference of Vendor Viability
"The 2012 Software 500 results show that revenue growth in the software and services industry was again healthy, with total Software 500 revenue of $643.6 billion worldwide for 2011, representing approximately 17 percent growth from the previous year's list," said John P. Desmond, editor, Software Magazine. "Now in its 30th year, the Software 500 helps CIOs, senior IT managers, and IT staff research and create the short list of business partners. It is a quick reference of vendor viability. The online version is searchable by category, making it what we call the online catalog to enterprise software."

The Software 500 is a revenue-based ranking of the world's largest software and services suppliers, targeting medium to large enterprises, their IT professionals, software developers, and business managers involved in software and services purchasing. It is being released in the Fall issue of Software Magazine, distributed on Sept. 19 in both print and digital versions. The Software 500 ranking is based on total worldwide software and services revenue for 2011. This includes revenue from software licenses, maintenance and support, training, and software-related services and consulting. Suppliers are not ranked on total corporate revenue, since many have other lines of business, such as hardware. The financial information was gathered by a survey prepared by Rockport Custom Publishing, LLC, and posted at www.softwaremag.com, as well as from public documents.
