Appointment Strengthens ICF Leadership in Health Area


FAIRFAX, Va.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- ICF International, a leading provider of consulting services and technology solutions to government and commercial clients, is pleased to announce that Lewis E. Berman, Ph.D., has joined the company as vice president.

Mr. Berman's appointment expands ICF's expertise in the fields of public health, real-time data capture, epidemiologic health study and operations, survey research, and quality improvement and assurance. He has a diverse professional experience in both U.S. federal and private settings, large public health organizations, private industry, and academia. He is an accomplished innovator in strategies, principles, methodologies, and processes for health information technology and community-based studies.

Most recently, Mr. Berman held the position of deputy director for the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey operated by the National Center for Health Statistics, where he was responsible for international, state, and local community health survey consultations. He also led the methodological research into dried blood spot collection, home health examinations, and specimen collection. An accomplished writer and presenter on health issues, he holds a bachelor's degree in computer science from the University of Maryland and a master's degree and a doctorate in computer science and public health from George Washington University. He also completed a fellowship in eGovernment from the Council for Excellence in Government.
