Madden NFL Social: Like the Fan Page for free prizes at launch

Last week, we brought you a detailed look at Madden NFL Social, EA's second attempt at creating a free-to-play Madden game on Facebook that will launch on both Facebook and iOS later this year. If you can't wait for the game to launch, you've likely already declared your love via the game's Facebook fan page, but did you know that by liking the page, you're actually helping to unlock items for yourself and your friends upon the game's actual launch?

In keeping with the tradition set by other EA Facebook games, Madden NFL Social has a "Like Us & Score" promotion running on the fan page that will reward players with a series of bonuses once it reaches specific "Like" milestones. So far, the fan page has just over 16,000 Likes, so we've only unlocked one item so far, of the five that will potentially be available.

This first item is the Cover 4 Buzz play, and it will apparently be given to all players when the game officially launches later this year. The next prize comes at 50,000 Likes, and it's the End Around play. From there, new prizes will be unlocked more slowly, at the 100,000, 250,000 and 500,000 marks. If the game reaches more Likes than that, I wouldn't be surprised to see even more prizes added to the list, but this is what we're dealing with for now.

I don't know about you, but "free" is definitely one of my favorite words, so if you want to score some free prizes of your own, make sure to head over to the Madden NFL Social fan page and add yourself to the group!
