The Sims Social Mystery Mansion Week Quest: How to finish it fast

It's Mystery Week in The Sims Social, and players will get to visit a new location–the Mystery Mansion. But the circumstances aren't exactly ... savory. In the mansion, they will discover that there's been a murder and will need to track down clues in order to identify the suspect.

There are five steps to this week's Mystery Mansion quest, and--thanks to the fine folks at Playfish--we have all the info you need here in a step-by-step guide to finish it fast:

Investigate the Lobby

• Check for Evidence in the Lobby 10 Times

• Examine the Umbrella Pot

• Investigate Footprints Six Times

Let's look for clues! The Lobby's a good place to start. Click on items around the room and 'Check for Evidence' 10 times. This Umbrella Pot looks like it was disturbed recently. Think we'll find something in there? Click on it to 'Examine' it closely by completing all the skill levels. Hm, the guilty Sim must have come through here – look at all these footprints! Click to 'Investigate' them six times. Rewards: 10 Life points, 50 Simoleons, 10 XP, 1 Energy

Investigate the Parlour

• Check for Evidence in the Parlour Six Times

• Examine the Grandfather Clock

• Have Six Magnifying Glasses

The trail leads into the Parlour! Let's check for evidence here too. It's small so six times should do. Hey, does that Grandfather Clock look a little... off to you? We need to 'Examine' it by completing all its skill levels. You know what every amateur mystery-solving sleuth needs? A magnifying glass! Ask your friends or interact with items around the mansion until you collect six of them. Rewards: 10 Life points, 50 Simoleons, 10 XP, 2 Energy

Investigate the Kitchen

• Check for Evidence in the Kitchen 10 Times

• Examine the Kitchen Basin

• Complete all Skill Steps on the Kitchen Stove

Hm, don't know about you but all that sleuthing makes a Sim hungry! How about we check out what the kitchen has in store? Oh yeah, we can look for more evidence too, of course! Ha-ha of course. *Ahem* Say, what's that in the Kitchen Basin? Examine it more closely by completing all the skill tasks to find out! Look, a stove! We should look at it more closely by... um... cooking as much food as we can. Yeah, that'll get us loads of clues! Rewards: 10 Life points, 50 Simoleons, 10 XP, 2 Energy

Investigate the Dining Room

• Check for Evidence in the Dining Room 12 Times

• Examine the China Vase

• Ask Six Other Sims if They See Anything Suspicious?

Now that we have all this food, it's a shame to see it all go to waste. Let's head into the Dining Room and sit down for a true meal. Okay, okay, while we're here we might as well look around at the items and 'Check for Evidence' 12 times. Eye-witnesses are the most useful tool in the detective's arsenal. You should ask your friends if they've got any information. Visit or ask over six other Sims and ask if they 'See Anything Suspicious?' Rewards: 10 Life points, 50 Simoleons, 10 XP, 2 Energy

Investigate the Games Room

• Check for Evidence in the Games Room Five times

• Examine the Drinks Cabinet

• Complete All Skill Steps on the Billiards Table

You know what would be perfect after that snack? Some good old R 'n R, and what do you know, the mansion has the perfect room for this – the Games Room. What? We're not slacking off! We're uh... scouting for clues here! Yeah, let's look around the items and 'Check for Evidence' five times. Ooh a Drink Cabinet! We should examine THAT really closely. I could use a little Billiards practice too! Join me for a game or ten? Rewards: 10 Life points, 50 Simoleons, 10 XP, Agetha Fabergé (Jade) Wow! We've collected so many clues! Quick, put them all together and maybe we can figure out who the suspect is!
