The draw of being an Apple supplier is a double-edged sword. Companies get to ride Apple to spectacular gains, but if they don't make the cut in a future version of the iPhone or iPad, it's a disastrous blow. Last night, Apple supplier Audience announced after providing its audio intellectual property into the iPhone 4S that it's "unlikely" to make the cut into the iPhone 5. The announcement of losing Apple's business was enough to send the company down 64%

Then there's the effect Apple has over technology in genreal. The sheer news that Apple is looking at creating a music-recommendation service that's similar to Pandora sent that company into a 17% tailspin today. Many investors are wondering which company is next on Apple's radar.
