FarmVille 2 Crop Mastery: Everything you need to know

As you work through the first few levels of FarmVille 2, you may be wondering why the game "doesn't have" crop mastery, since that feature continues to be one of the most popular in the original FarmVille game on Facebook. Don't despair just yet, farmers, as FarmVille 2 actually does have crop mastery, but you'll need to reach Level 7 to actually unlock it.

At that point, you'll see a new symbol alongside each crop in the game's store. You can earn up to three ribbons for continuing to plant a specific kind of crop in bulk, with different crops requiring different amounts of harvests, as you might expect. Even though crops are unlocked to plant at different levels, after you've hit Level 7, all additional crops that you've unlocked will automatically allow for mastery.

After you've mastered a crop to at least the first ribbon, you'll receive a lovely sign with a matching ribbon to place on your farm for your friends to see. It's likely that these signs will be updated with additional ribbons as you continue to master a crop, but the specific amounts of harvests needed for those ribbons are still unknown. Still, it's nice to know that our harvests will eventually do more than just earn us some coins or animal feed, as we'll be able to show off our dedication for everyone to see.
