Unifi (NYS: UFI) reported earnings on Aug. 30. Here are the numbers you need to know.

For the quarter ended June 24 (Q4), Unifi missed estimates on revenues and missed estimates on earnings per share.
Compared to the prior-year quarter, revenue dropped and GAAP earnings per share shrank significantly.

Unifi logged revenue of $187.9 million. The three analysts polled by S&P Capital IQ expected revenue of $204.3 million on the same basis. GAAP reported sales were 6.0% lower than the prior-year quarter's $199.8 million.

EPS came in at $0.39. The one earnings estimate compiled by S&P Capital IQ averaged $0.60 per share. GAAP EPS of $0.55 for Q4 were 15% lower than the prior-year quarter's $0.65 per share.

For the quarter, gross margin was 9.6%, about the same as the prior-year quarter. Operating margin was 3.2%, 50 basis points worse than the prior-year quarter. Net margin was 6.0%, 80 basis points worse than the prior-year quarter.
Next quarter's average estimate for revenue is $178.7 million. On the bottom line, the average EPS estimate is $0.37.
Next year's average estimate for revenue is $740.3 million. The average EPS estimate is $1.41.
The stock has a four-star rating (out of five) at Motley Fool CAPS, with 52 members out of 66 rating the stock outperform, and 14 members rating it underperform. Among 20 CAPS All-Star picks (recommendations by the highest-ranked CAPS members), 16 give Unifi a green thumbs-up, and four give it a red thumbs-down.
