CastleVille A Scurvy Man's Chest Quests: Everything you need to know

Updated

Just as Jacques has returned to our Kingdoms in CastleVille with a new set of quests to complete, so too has his new fiancee offered us a chance for some free rewards for completing a set of quests of her own. Melody the Mermaid has apparently found a letter in a bottle on the shores of Land's End that speaks of buried treasure, left behind by a pirate by the name of Scurvy Pete. Apparently, he's also left fragments of his treasure map around Land's End, so it's up to us (and Melody) to find them and the treasure!

Mapping the Way

  • Find 20 Map Fragments

  • Dig Up the Pirate Treasure Chest

  • Open the Pirate Treasure Chest

Map Fragments are the first collectible in this feature, which are used to fill Spirit Bars at the bottom of the screen. You'll earn them at random when interacting with the different items in Land's End, but aren't guaranteed to receive one with each click. These bars, once full, will give you treasures for your main game that you can keep even after this Land's End event is over. For instance, the first Spirit Bar is full after you've collected the first 20 Map Fragments, and your prize is a Starfish Rug. You'll also receive 1,000 coins and 20 XP for completing this first quest.

Treasure Hunter

  • Find 40 Pirate Bandanas

  • Dig Up the Pirate Treasure Chest

  • Open the Pirate Treasure Chest

This quest gives you 1,500 coins, 30 XP and an Energy Potion when it's completed, and you'll complete it in the same manner as the first quest above, by simply spending energy around Land's End to collect the Pirate Bandanas.

Treasure Hunter 2

  • Find 55 Black Pearls

  • Dig Up the Pirate Treasure Chest

  • Open the Pirate Treasure Chest

Rewards: 1,750 coins, 35 XP, Pirate Stew (can be used for more energy on Land's End)

Great Riches

  • Find 75 Pirate Coins

  • Dig Up the Pirate Treasure Chest

  • Open the Pirate Treasure Chest

Rewards: Energy Potion, 1,750 coins, 35 XP

At this point, you will have filled all of the Spirit Bars associated with this event, and will walk away with a few energy potions, some coins and XP for finishing all of these quests. Ultimately, the quests themselves serve little purpose than to keep you working on the Spirit Bars, but at least you'll earn some coins and XP along the way as well.
