CastleVille A Pirate's Tail Quests: Everything you need to know

Updated

While most CastleVille players have left Land's End behind after finishing the Tale of Two Pirates quests, but it's time to head back there once again to meet Jacques and his ... new fiancee? Apparently, things are going quite well for Jacques, and we'll be able to see just how well via a new nine-part quest series called "A Pirate's Tail." Let's get started!

Air Mail

  • Travel to Land's End

  • Click on Melody

Melody is Jacques' "Mermaid Bride of the Sea," so you'll find her sitting atop some rocks in the water. You'll receive 1,000 coins, 20 XP and a Pirate Stew for completing this quest!

Love Nest

  • Gather 2 Ship Supplies from the Santa Lucia

  • Chop 5 Palm Trees in Land's End

  • Use the Energy Distiller 1 Time

You'll be able to use the Pirate Stew you received in the last quest to activate the Energy Distiller, making this quest easier than it might initially seem. You'll earn 1,000 coins and 20 XP for finishing this quest.

No Place Like Home

  • Have 3 Sounds of Home

  • Collect 3 Bamboo Stems

  • Finish Building the Bedroom on Land's End

The Sounds of Home are shells that can be earned by posting a general request to your news feed. Meanwhile, the new Bedroom is found on the coast in Land's End, and it requires building materials to complete: 2 Seaweed Linens, 8 Ship Supplies, 8 Wood Planks and two Candles. The Ship Supplies are earned by repeatedly collecting from the Santa Lucia, but the other three items can be crafted back in your home Kingdom. Technically, you can also ask your friends for the Wood Planks, but that's entirely up to you. You'll earn a Hyper Craft, 1,500 coins and 30 XP when you complete this quest.

Island Chic

  • Go Fishing in 2 Tidal Pools

  • Tend 5 Tropical Flowers

  • Craft 1 Pirate Stew

Rewards: 1,000 coins and 20 XP

Room to Grow

  • Have 6 Starfish

  • Collect 10 Ship Supplies

  • Finish Building the Splash Room

The Starfish are earned via another news item posted to your wall. The Splash Room, as you might have expected, requires more building materials to complete: 8 Coral, 10 Ship Supplies, 3 Fasteners and 10 Bamboo Stems. You can ask your friends for the Coral, but all three of the other items are earned through other means. You'll receive 1,500 coins and 30 XP when you complete this quest.

When Crocs Attack

  • Banish 2 Gloom Crocs

  • Clear 5 Tropical Ferns

  • Craft 1 Pirate Stew

Rewards: Strong Energy Potion, 1,750 coins, 35 XP

Song of the Sea

  • Have 5 Fish Nets

  • Craft 3 Starfish Casseroles

  • Build the Island Kitchen

The Fish Nets are earned via yet another news post on your wall. While you're waiting for those to arrive, you can build the Island Kitchen using 3 Starfish Casserole, 15 Ship Supplies, 3 Brick Ovens and 2 Knives. None of these items can be directly earned by asking friends, with three of the four requiring you to craft them in your home Kingdom. Completing this quest gives you 1,750 coins and 35 XP.

Stocking Up

  • Collect 5 Bottles of Milk

  • Tend 3 Goats

  • Gather 5 Ship Supplies

Rewards: 1,000 coins, 20 XP

Dining in Style

  • Craft 2 Candles

  • Chop 5 Palm Trees

  • Finish the Dining Room

To complete this final quest in the series, you'll need to craft one more building in Land's End, with the Dining Room requiring 3 Chandeliers, 15 Ship Supplies, 5 Steel Bars and 1 Angle Finder. Needless to say, this has the potential to be an incredibly time consuming quest series, depending on your own dedication to completing it and how many materials you have on hand to craft all of these buildings' required materials. When you finish this final quest, you'll receive plenty of rewards: 1,750 coins, 35 XP, Island Bedroom, Island Cookery, Splash Spa and the Dining Table, which can, in theory, be placed back in your Kingdom as decorations.

Melody has her own set of quests to complete in CastleVille as well, and we'll bring you a guide to finishing those off just as soon as we can. Stay tuned!
