Are PCs Headed to Extinction?

After a rough second quarter for PCs, industry watchdog IDC declared lower growth estimates. Hewlett-Packardand Dell, two companies that once drove this market, are now being washed out in the smartphone and tablet tide, causing both companies to sell off somewhat. Though there still is sliver of optimism this year -- PCs did show slight growth of 0.9% -- there's been too large of an overall decline.
