SimCity Social Brad's Burning Ambition Quests: Everything you need to know

Updated

If you've been keeping up with the storyline in SimCity Social, you'll likely know Brad, the firefighter that wants nothing more than to keep your city safe. He's traveled to Japan to learn about ancient firefighting techniques, and he's brought a taste of Japan back to your city with him. It will be up to you to complete "Brad's Burning Ambition" quests to receive a Ramen Shop as your final reward, but watch out - you're being timed!

We're here with a complete look at these new quests in SimCity Social (straight from the Playfish forums), which will be available for the next 13 days.

Rising Sun

  • Introduce the Teriyaki Chicken Burger

  • Collect 1 Holiday Snapshot

  • Install High Tech Toilet

The Chicken Burger task can be completed in a Burger Joint, while the High Tech Toilet needs to be installed in a Fire Station. You'll earn 2,500 Simoleons and 5 XP for completing this quest.

Flame Off

  • Stop 3 Fires

  • Use Medals of Bravery

Rewards: 1,000 Simoleons and 5 XP

Make Me One With Everything

  • Build the Tea Garden

  • Collect 3 Tencha Leaves from Botanical Gardens

  • Study Shinto Legend 5 Times

The Shinto Legend can be studied in a 3-Star History Museum, but you can tend the same one multiple times. For the Tencha Leaves task, you'll need to collect from three different gardens, so just visit some rather high-level friends and you should be fine. Finally, the Tea Garden can be purchased from the store for 12,000 Simoleons.

Cool It, Bradley

  • Witness Brad's Tea Cooling Powers

  • Collect from 10 Businesses

The Tea Cooling Powers can be "witnessed" at a completed Tea Garden.

Brad on the Beat

  • Be Friendly at 5 Diners

  • Be Friendly at 5 Furniture Factories

  • Be Friendly at 5 Mayor's Houses

These tasks can be completed by simply visiting friends and choosing nice actions, rather than mean ones.

Something Fishy Going On

  • Build the Sushi Factory

  • Collect Lunchboxes

  • Stop 5 Fires

The Sushi Factory is only unlocked to users that have at least 14,000 Sims living in their towns, or you can unlock it early for 28 Diamonds. Once you purchase it (the price is apparently 160,000 Simoleons), you'll need to collect five Business Savvy, six Punchcards, five Elbow Grease and five Fury to actually finish it off.

Sushi to Go

  • Upgrade the Sushi Factory to 1-Star

  • Collect from a Supermarket 3 Times

  • Acquire a Simoto Blade

The Department Store can be sued to complete the Simoto Blade task. Meanwhile, you'll need to collect five TPS Reports, 10 Hard Hats, five Safety Awards, two Harmory and one Unity to complete the half of the upgrade of the Sushi Factory to 1-Star. From there, you'll need to spend 1,600 Materials per click to actually finish the upgrade, and there are 15 clicks required in all. Remember, you can convert coins to Materials if you're running low.

Ommmmmmm....

  • Produce 2,500 Materials on the Sushi Factory

  • Collect Safety Awards

Eventually, you'll unlock the Ramen Shop for completing these quests, which currently isn't available to purchase in the store. We'll continue to update this space as we learn more about Brad's Burning Ambition's quests, so stay tuned!

What do you think of this series of quests? Do you think they're more "work" than fun, or are the quests easy enough to complete in the two weeks we have available? Sound off in the comments!
