Jetpack Joyride rockets onto Android through Amazon Appstore

Call me an elitist--an Apple lover, even--but at times, it's hard not to feel bad for the Android owners of the world. You know, during times like these? When we learn that just now Android devices have welcomed the likes of Jetpack Joyride, and through a special app marketplace that will render the hit Halfbrick Studios endless flier hit unplayable if deleted?

Yes, those times. The Verge reports that Jetpack Joyride is now available exclusively on the Amazon Appstore following a Facebook release earlier this year. This means that not only has one of best free mobile games around finally made it to Android, but you'll need to download (and keep) Amazon's Appstore app in order to play the addictive casual hit.

But hey, beggars can't be choosers, we guess. At least you got Jetpack Joyride on Android finally, albeit with a caveat. Oh, wait, The Verge reports that this version isn't optimized for tablets either? Um ... positive thinking, people! It's Jetpack Joyride for Android. Yay.
